Quiet, fast and efficient –
Webasto presents new heaters for camping
At Caravan Salon 2024, heating and cooling expert Webasto will be presenting a new air heater and an optimized water heater for camping vehicles. The completely newly developed Air Top Pro 25 and the further developed Thermo Top Evo can be seen at stand 13A60 (hall 13).
Gilching - June 20, 2024 – The new Air Top Pro 25 air heater from Webasto heats the vehicle interior with a maximum of 2.5 kilowatts (kW). Motorhomes, caravans and camper vans quickly reach a comfortable room temperature. Once the target temperature is reached, the heater switches to partial load. Thanks to an extremely low partial load level of just 0.7 kW, the heater consumes less fuel and is barely audible. In addition, a new brushless motor concept contributes to the increased efficiency of the Air Top Pro 25 compared to its predecessor model, the Air Top 2000 STC. Diesel, petrol and HVO can be used as fuels. The heating is infinitely variable and keeps temperatures very constant. Automatic altitude adjustment extends the range of applications. Air Top Pro 25 can be installed both inside and outside the vehicle. It can be controlled using various Webasto control elements, including the ThermoConnect app. Integration into existing vehicle systems is also possible via LIN, CAN and CI bus.
The Webasto Thermo Top Evo parking heater heats the vehicle's coolant circuit and brings heat into the vehicle via the existing air outlets. The windshield defrosts and the interior warms up. The water heater has now been fitted with a new circulation pump with an even longer service life. In automatically controlled heating mode, the appliance is pleasantly quiet thanks to a reduction in the lowest heating power level to 1.8 kW. The optimized efficiency ensures significantly reduced fuel consumption and therefore lower emissions. Another new feature is that the Thermo Top Evo automatically recognizes the type of communication interface to the vehicle. This saves installation time and is less prone to errors. Communication will be analog, via Webasto control elements, LIN or CI-Bus. Diesel, petrol and HVO can be used as fuels.
Both heaters are protected against cyber attacks in accordance with ISO 21434 and are certified accordingly. The new devices will be available from spring 2025.
