Our Shanghai workplaces
Webasto entered China OE market in 2001 and began to provide equipment services for both international and local OEMs at 10 locations all over China. In 2018, Webasto had sales of more than RMB 10 billion in China. To better meet the local requirements from Chinese customers, Webasto established a R&D center in Shanghai in 2004. In 2019, Webasto was recognized by the Shanghai Municipal Government as a "Regional Headquarters for Multinational Corporations", and was certified as a "Shanghai Enterprise Technology Center" by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology in 2021, and was certified as a " Foreign-invested R&D Center" by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce in 2024.
